Bill Prim and Andrew Zinke at MCC for the League of Women Voters forum

If you watched the debate or the League of Women Voter’s forum, there is Nothing Wrong at the Sheriff’s office according to Undersheriff Andrew Zinke. We were lucky to even have had this debate. As you may recall there was a lot of dodging of the debate going on by Undersheriff Andrew Zinke. He dropped out of the Patriots United debate because there were two others and third would be unnecessary, so he claimed. The only problem was at that time there were no other debates scheduled. You can read more about the specifics Andrew Zinke Fearful to Debate Bill Prim Lies to Get Out of It.

The opening statement for the debate was made by Bill Prim. He attacked Zinke on a few issues. He attacked Zinke on the sheriff’s office losing three million a year on the ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Program, Zinke tipping off Brian Goode about a DEA investigation concerning his RITA Corporation, Zinke’s attacks on McHenry County States Attorney Louis Bianchi, fighting in court to not release a report that exonerates any wrongdoings by Zinke in the RITA fiasco, and all the cases brought forward by the sheriff’s office designed to punish those that don’t toe the line. Prim opened by saying “I believe it is our absolute obligation to make sure that we are fiscally prudent and a good steward of the taxes that come into the county.”

Bill Prim

“Since I announced my candidacy about a year and a half ago I’ve expressed my visions I think clearly and accurately and I think they have been fairly well disseminated.  So instead of telling you what I will do when I’m elected Sheriff I’m going to tell you what I won’t do.

•             I won’t tip off a business owner who is a large campaign donor when there is an illegal shipment of narcotics coming into their business.

•             I won’t create a division between other elected officials by publicly berating them in the press.

•             I won’t have the person that’s responsible for conducting internal investigations out passing my nominating petitions.

•             I won’t create a roadblock for the dissemination of information that’s requested through the freedom of information.

•             I won’t squander the taxpayer’s dollars or the courts time or employee time from the states attorneys’ office and the sheriff’s office trying to defend those positions as well.”

Andrew Zinke denied that there was any truth in Prim’s opening statement by replying “Then, there’s the truth.  I’ll ignore most of the bogus information you’ve heard earlier.” Unfortunately in politics you don’t have to substantiate anything you say, otherwise Undersheriff Andrew Zinke should have to state what was incorrect in Prim’s statement. However, McHenry County is losing three million a year housing ICE inmates (Immigration and Customs Enforcement); you can read an analysis done by the McHenryClountyBlog.com. Undersheriff Andrew Zinke did tip off Brian Goode about a DEA investigation concerning his RITA Corporation; you can read my article Andrew Zinke plus Rita Corporation equals ON THE TAKE. The rift between the sheriff’s office and states attorney’s office is infamous. One of the reasons is because of Zinke’s comments to the press about Bianchi; here is article from the Daily Herald as one example. It is also true that sheriff’s office is fighting like hell to not release a report that Sheriff Nygren says exonerates Zinke for any wrongdoing in the RITA fiasco, you can read my article Sheriff Opts for Belligerence to Thwart FEN’s Attempt to Secure Undersheriff Andrew Zinke Report. The sheriff’s office spends a lot of time and money on punishing deputies in court; you can read my article McHenry County Deputy Zane Seipler under siege, Again!! and Another McHenry County Deputy under siege, Scott Milliman.

The moderator of the debate asked the candidates about the ICE program. They asked “Do you favor extending the present contract with immigration beyond its current length, taking into account that expenses exceed reimbursements? “If you do not, how would you handle the loss of jobs and the use of that space?” Zinke was up first and responded, “First, do I favor the extension of the contract with ICE? Absolutely, if it’s cost effective, but that’s not up to me. That’s not up to the Sheriff. That’s up to the County Board…” Since it is not cost effective, it is difficult to tell if the Undersheriff would continue the program or not. What was clear though is that Undersheriff Andrew Zinke does not believe that the sheriff is responsible for the sheriff’s budget. There are only two ways to interpret this statement. Either Undersheriff Andrew Zinke offers no leadership in making a proposals or recommendations about the sheriff’s budget to the McHenry County Board, or he is taking no responsibility in losing three million a year. McHenry County citizens have been given a perception by the McHenry County Sheriff that the jail build out was a good thing for the county. Here is a link to a Chicago Tribune article where Sheriff Nygren PROPOSES to the board about the sheriff’s budget and the jail build out.  Sheriff Nygren in a Chicago Tribune article for his 2010 campaign stated that “This bed rental program will generate revenue to the county for many years to come and represents a significant dividend to the tax payers.”

Those were the major issues that were brought up, along with morale of the deputies. Bill Prim recognizes that morale of the deputies is at what maybe an all-time low. Undersheriff Andrew Zinke denies that there is a morale problem. Zinke stated that this was only a couple of disgruntled employees that were having the morale problem. In short, it was another denial. If we were to take Undersheriff Andrew Zinke at his word, there are no problems or no issues with the McHenry County Sheriff’s office. I guess he has mastered Sheriff Keith Nygren’s typical response of nothing to see here. So what do the citizens think?

I would guess that most citizens were hoping to understand better what has been going on with ICE, the RITA Corporation fiasco, transparency at the sheriff’s office, and overall affairs and morale of the department. I believe that the citizens of McHenry County are still hoping for understanding on those topics. According to Zinke there is nothing wrong and nothing to see. Those that support Undersheriff Andrew Zinke were up in arms with Bill Prim. It was nothing that was said or was in the content of the debate. The bone that they had to pick with Prim was his choice of footwear.  Bill Prim wore boots the evening of the debate. I have found a sample comment from the mchenrycountyblog.com from an anonymous poster calling them self Teacher155. I will copy and paste the whole comment including the misspellings.

Almost forgot, Cal. Regarding boots, does anyone know if Ronald Reagan ever wore old, ratty (but comfortable) cowboy boots to a televised debate? Reagan actually owned a ranch & rode horses. Or, how about George W. Bush who is a Texas rancher & businessman. Did G.W. wear old, ratty boots to his debates? Mitt Romney? John McCain? Anyone? Dress for success? Anyone. How many would show up for a business interview to be CEO of a 400 person company wearing those boots? But, we are sadly no longer in an era of our Sunday Best. Jeans aplenty on Sunday at FUM in CL. FWIW. I thought Mr. Primm had a very nice & appropriate business suit. Certainly, the boots say nothing about the job that Mr. Primm will do as Sheriff. But, they were still some ugly boots that detracted from his appearance and effectiveness. Several times while he was speaking, I was distracted and drawn to Mr. Primm’s nervous twitching cowboy boots bouncing around under the table. In fairness, the forum hosts should have provided a table curtain.

My guess is that this user is not really a teacher, so this should not reflect on the teachers from District 155. The Regime Supporters often morph themselves into a “concerned” or “educated” citizen but they typically are from the inner circle. If you look at Teacher155’s comments prior to this on the RITA fiasco, it does put everything into context about this anonymous poster. The RITA fiasco is when Undersheriff Andrew Zinke told Brian Goode that the DEA has been investigating tons of marijuana that has been shipping to his company the RITA Corporations. After the tip Zinke received $5,000 from Brian Goode to his campaign for sheriff. The address that Andrew Zinke uses for his campaign headquarters is the same address that the feds were watching for the receiving of the tons of marijuana. The sheriff exonerated Zinke of any wrongdoing in a 100 page report but he is fighting in court to keep it hidden. Here is Teacher155’s take on the RITA fiasco.

Years ago, a school resource police officer told me “To a cop there are 2 kinds of people in the world, Cops and Suspects.” While I liked the police officer, I was appalled by his sincere belief. Today, an “Us vs. Them” mentality exists within many of our police departments. All Citizens are Suspects? From what I have read and heard about Rita case, the business owner was identified by the Sheriff’s Dept, in consultation with the Feds, as a witness who may assist the criminal investigation. Then, the business owner was told that he was a possible witness who could aid the investigation. And, business owner voluntarily gave information.Whether Mr. Primm or Mr. Zinke, we do not need a Sheriff who thinks all Citizens are Suspects. I hope that anonymous is not suggesting that Mr. Primm will treat decent, all good & hard working citizens, like the Rita owner, as suspects.Lastly, it seems the only person who exposed the federal investigation was the police officer who publicly complained about this to the court and newspaper, not Mr. Zinke.

WOW, right? You know who else has stated this as fact? No one ever! Not even Undersheriff Andrew Zinke has come up with anything like this. However Teacher155’s response is far superior of a spin than Zinke’s first position of denying that he said anything to Goode. It is even better than his second position of I Told Brian Goode but I Did Not Break the Law. As you can see Zinke Supporters like Andrew Zinke himself, do not bind themselves to speaking or acting with integrity.

That is why it is time to VOTE ZINKE OUT and VOTE PRIM IN!!! You do not have to wait to March 18th to vote. YOU CAN VOTE NOW!!. I grabbed this information from Cal Skinner’s website the mchenrycountyblog.com:

KNOWLEDGE CENTER

I have put together some of the articles that I have written that are prevalent for the upcoming election in MARCH!. This is the Republican Nominee election but probably more important than the general election. It is most likely the winner in March will win in November and become sheriff. If you review the articles in the Knowledge Center, you will read all kinds of unbelievable things as it relates to this election.

My mother and father, Ron and Kathy Scharff, 1969.

Freedom of Information Act Appeal to get the remainder of my father’s file. In my efforts to get to the bottom of my father’s murder and what the McHenry County Sheriff’s office has done to me and my family 33 years ago. I filed a FOIA Request (Freedom of Information Act Request) to get my father’s case file. Many documents were withheld from my request. It is my believe the documents are withheld to protect guilty individuals that are known to Sheriff Keith Nygren and Undersheriff Andrew Zinke that covered up who actually killed my father during the original investigation. Start on page 11 to read what sounds like a murder mystery thriller, but this is my true life. It is backed by FBI reports, witness statements, and newspaper articles.

Undersheriff Andrew Zinke and the Rita Corporation on RT 31Andrew Zinke for McHenry County Sheriff, Really??? This article is based on my own father’s murder investigation and Undersheriff Andrew Zinke. I talked about how he made his own milestones and failed to meet every single one. How it took me calling NBC News Chicago to get Andrew Zinke to return my phone call about my father’s murder investigation, as he was the lead investigator. I am fighting to get the remainder of my father’s case file. It is my believe that Undersheriff Andrew Zinke and the Sheriff Keith Nygren are hiding and protecting individuals that covered up the true killer of my father during the original investigation.

Undersheriff Andrew Zinke and the Rita Corporation on RT 31Andrew Zinke plus Rita Corporation equals ON THE TAKE Brian Goode and his RITA Corporation was a person of interest and focal point for the investigation of the distribution of 30 plus tons of marijuana. Undersheriff Andrew Zinke told Brian Goode of the investigation. Two days later, according to Koziol, (Sgt. Koziol was working on the investigation and filed a complaint against Zinke) Goode gave Zinke’s election campaign a $5,000 donation. The RITA Corporation address is the same address as Andrew Zinke’s campaign headquarters.

Deputy Zane SeiplerMcHenry County Deputy Zane Seipler under siege, Again!! Zane Seipler is a whistleblowing deputy that was fired by Keith Nygren after he exposed the sheriff’s office for racial profiling. Nygren was forced to hire Seipler back after he lost an arbitration ruling, a court hearing, an appellate court hearing, and a failed attempt to be heard by the Illinois State Supreme Court. After Seipler was hired back, Nygren fired him again. Zane Seipler is currently fighting to get his job back.

Deputy Scott Milliman in uniform.

Another McHenry County Deputy under siege, Scott Milliman Scott Milliman was a deputy and former right hand man to Sheriff Keith Nygren. He was fired by the sheriff for whistleblowing that the sheriff allegedly transacted in ticket fixing, bribery, general corruption, fraud in a SBA Loan, and in tapping Milliman himself to kill a McHenry County Judge and a Coroner’s Candidate. Scott Milliman is currently fighting to get his job back.

Gary Gauger, of Richmond, was wrongly convicted of murdering his parents in 1993 and sentenced to death. After years in prison his sentence was overturned and two gang members were later convicted of the murders. Gauger is released a book detailing the event called IN SPITE OF THE SYSTEM. (Ryan Rayburn photo)

How Gary Gauger got to DEATH ROW This is the real life, tragic story of Gary Gauger. He was falsely arrested and sent to Death Row by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department for the double murder of his parents. Investigators from the sheriff’s department rigged a false confession so that they could convict him.

McHenry County Ethics Commission, Ethical or NOT!?!? The McHenry County Ethics Commission conducted a hearing of a complaint filed by Cal Skinner that Undersheriff Andrew Zinke used a government computer for a very politically charged email. The hearing was ran over by Zinke’s attorneys Mark Gummerson and Rebecca Lee. The sign up sheet to speak at the hearing went missing but found in the possession of Rebecca Lee. The commission went into secret session, made its decision, and did so without explanation.

Pete Gonigam, publisher of the First Electric Newspaper.

First Electric Newspaper v.s. Sheriff Nygren and EEO Officer Donald Leist Pete Gonigam won a Public Access Bureau (Illinois States Attorney) appeal for the release of a 100 page report conducted by the McHenry County Sheriff’s office. The report exonerated Undersheriff Andrew Zinke after he told Brian Goode that he and his RITA Corporation was a the focal point of a drug investigation by the DEA.

Undersheriff Andrew Zinke giving Cal Skinner the finger at the 4th of July Parade in Crystal Lake, IL.

Zinke’s middle finger may cost Cal Skinner $5,000 After filing a valid ethics complaint against Undersheriff Andrew Zinke for using a government computer for his campaign, Cal Skinner was to face Zinke’s attorney Mark Gummerson. Gummerson was lobbying for a $5,000 fine against Skinner filing a valid complaint. An act of bulling and intimidation of a McHenry County citizen.

Will McHenry County be Ripped Off by Special Interest in Sheriff Election? I question the interest and the contribution to Undersheriff Andrew Zinke’s campaign from the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 election. I send a letter to the President-Business Manager of the union James M. Sweeney.

Zinke-looking-right-eyes-at-cameraAndrew Zinke Fearful to Debate Bill Prim Lies to Get Out of It. Undersheriff Andrew Zinke is so fearful to debate Bill Prim for McHenry County Sheriff that he lies to get out of it. Zinke knows that he would be out matched, outwitted, and the truth of his corrupt character would be revealed to the citizens of McHenry County. Instead of enduring such damage to his campaign he lies to coward out of it.

Sheriff Keith Nygren

Is Sheriff Nygren and Undersheriff Zinke Intimidating and Tampering with Federal Witnesses? Is Sheriff Nygren and Undersheriff Zinke intimidating federal witnesses? Or are the deputies fighting back? Donald Leist, the sheriff’s in house lawyer sent a letter to 30 deputies and correctional officers to be interrogated prior to their depositions in a federal case. Would that work anywhere else in the US or just McHerny County?
