Zinke’s middle finger may cost Cal Skinner $5,000

Submitted by on Wednesday, 28 August 2013One Comment

Mark Gummerson, an attorney for Undersheriff Andrew Zinke is following through with his threat towards Cal Skinner from the Ethic Commission hearing. Andrew Zinke filed a complaint against Cal Skinner for $5,000. A fine that he suggests is for Skinner filing a “frivolous” complaint to the Ethics Commission.

If you have not been following what is going on, here is some background. At a 4th of July parade in Crystal Lake, Cal Skinner pointed a camera at Undersheriff Zinke. In the child-like wisdom of Zinke, he thought that it was best for his election to flip Skinner off in a clever fashion. It back fired. The photo went viral and was all over in McHenry County. Zinke was compelled to do damage control for his election. He sent an email to current and former board members referencing his candidacy, opponents and supporters of the election, campaign issues and race, run for office, and requesting guidance throughout the political process from the board members past and present. The email was not illegal but using government computers and doing it on government time is. The email in question is at the bottom of this article and the politically charged statements are in bold.

This is not a Capital offense by any means but Zinke should own it and take responsibility for this, just like you and I when we are caught speeding or breaking the law. Instead he gets a high flying lawyer to do his dirty work. It is still unclear whether Zinke paid for his representation or if the taxpayers did. The Ethics Commission conducted a hearing, but what it lacked was appropriate conduct and the only thing heard was expensive attorney rhetoric that was counterintuitive to the facts. Zinke’s attorneys ran amuck of the protocol speaking however long they wanted and out of turn. The sign-up sheet that allows the public to speak was hidden by one of Zinke’s attorneys under their binder. When found it was asked whether Zinke was paying for representation or if taxpayers were paying it. The board did not care to ask, as if it was not the people’s business. The board convened to a secret meeting were no records were conveyed to the public at all. The board came from the secret meeting and voted 4-0 that the complaint was insufficient by Skinner. They did not voice their determinations of why this email was not in reference to his campaign and election, which even the Northwest Herald acknowledged that it was. The Ethics Commission only then handed Skinner a document that supposedly was used in the determination of this judgment. Then Mark Gummerson threatens Skinner that a $5,000 fine will  be filed against him for bringing forward a frivolous complaint. That is what is going to happen this Thursday. The same “Ethics Commission” that chose the least ethical route to hear a complaint will now decide if Cal Skinner will be fined $5,000.

Are you kidding me? Is this really happening? What country is this? How does this happen anywhere? Why is there not a mechanism in place that derails this obvious sham that is going on here? Because it is McHenry County and that is the way it always has been as far as most of us can remember.

This behavior even got the attention of its governing body, the McHenry County Board’s Management Services Committee. They noted that the Ethics Commission did not look ethical. They noted the hidden sign-up sheet and that there was no actual hearing. They thought that the $5,000 fine would inhibit free speech. In fact, I sent a thank you email to the board members that spoke out. They were Donna Kurtz, Paula Yensen, and Michael Walkup. In a reply back Michael Walkup said that his next project is to develop better rules for the Ethics Commission. Let’s take a look at Mark Gummerson and Cal Skinner.

Mark Gummerson

Mark Gummerson, attorney for Gummerson Rausch Wand Lee Wombacker, LLC

Who is Mark Gummerson? He is an expensive and over-zealous lawyer. He is used by Sheriff Keith Nygren and Undersheriff Andrew Zinke. He is ready to steam roll his way over anything. He represented Billy J Cox a wealthy Bully Valley Business man who had built Exacto Inc. in Richmond, IL. He was convicted of attempted murder of his wife Carolyn Cox/Mahoney (later remarried). She was hit with a blunt object a few times, including the face, until she was unconscious and then dragged out into the garage with closed doors and running vehicles. She survived to hear Mark Gummerson argue in court that she fell off a ladder. That’s representation for your client.  According to a Chicago Tribune Article in 2011, the Illinois Department of Corrections informed Carolyn that her millionaire ex-husband is trying to kill her from prison. In that suit it also named Gummerson as “either has or will” require his cooperation to pay the killer.

Cal Skinner

Cal Skinner former McHenry County Treasure and State Representative and current editor of the mchenrycountyblog.com.

Who is Cal Skinner? He is a son of a McHenry County politician that was also one of the founders of the McHenry County College. He ran for McHenry County Treasure and served from 1966 to 1970. He was elected to the Illinois State House of Representatives multiple times in the past (73-81, 93-01). He is now the editor of the mchenrycountyblog.com, which is the number one political blog site in the state. As he is no stranger to the county or state politics, he is also no stranger as being a target of the regime.

In 2009, Cal Skinner wrote an article about the Northwest Herald. He charged that they received a cut-rate multimillion dollar loan to stay in McHenry County. He also said that they were “in the back pocket of the Republican Party” and were not in trouble financially to suggest that they needed to move out of the county. B.F. Shaw Printing (Parent of the Northwest Herald) slapped Skinner with a lawsuit for $150,000 for defamation, false light and commercial disparagement. The paper denied ever receiving such a loan, denied having money problems, and said that they were never the puppet of the GOP; even though they knew all of this to be true. Cal Skinner countered back with a copy of a 1985 county board resolution authorizing a $2.6 million Economic Development Revenue Bond paying 80 percent of the then-prime rate (WOW, it is nice to have the right friends). The resolution stated the purpose to be “increasing and retaining employment within (McHenry County’s) boundaries.” He also included a 1985 IRS form signed by the County Board Chairman and listed the users of the bond to be Shaw Printing. He also countered with a lawsuit of his own for 3 million, stating that they knew the charges to be true but sued him to “intimidate and harass.” Goliath back down and both parties withdrew their suits.

When my father was murdered 32 years ago, the case should have been solved. Sheriff George Hendle was connected to the mob and did not want to solve it, because it was a mobster that killed my father. When that was figured out in 2008, Undersheriff Andrew Zinke tried to hide these facts. He is still trying to hide the facts to what actually happened to my father and my family today by denying in part my Freedom of Information Act to get my father’s case file. I don’t think that he is hiding the truth for the sake of ghosts, my better judgment tells me that you don’t fight this hard (especially during your election campaign) unless there is people to protect today. So why do I care about Ethic’s Commissions when there are bigger fish to fry?

It is all the same thing. It is all the very same people. The same people preventing me to find the truth to my father’s murder are the same people persecuting Skinner. Are you starting to triangulate what is going on? Sheriff’s department, lawyers, commissions, newspapers, and these are the things that I have written about so far. There is judges, doctors, committee people, and politicians. McHenry County has a “fixer” for everything. A fix or fixer or a political fixer is reference to intervening for a predetermined outcome, usually corruption. Webster’s definition of  a Fixer or one that fixes is a person who intervenes to enable someone to circumvent the law or obtain a political favor.

Are you starting to understand? This is a machine! No different than the mob or any other entity that hijacks due process or the intent to do the people’s business. This is not an offense or an attack just on Cal Skinner, this is an offense and an attack on all of us. People are fixing things to hide their wrongdoings, or in this case, to intimidate one for seeking or speaking truth. This all ties together, so always stay engage. I will keep you all posted on what happens next. I am tired of the Regime, aren’t you?  Stay informed, don’t get your hand trapped in a coon’s cage.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Zinke withdrew the complaint. Zinke’s attorney Mark Gummerson stated, “I’m not going to give anyone the ability to use this commission as a political pawn.”  I think that is code for “Everyone is WATCHING and we will look really, really bad!!” Keep engaged, we can and are making a difference.

Here is an article from the Northwest Herald

Recently, I was victimized by a local blogger who posted a picture of me that he created a false story around.  Many of you have had pictures of yourselves taken out of context, or in a negative position, posted on a blog.  After being targeted and victimized, I can now say I understand why so many people loath him.  Other than to acknowledge that I was apparently holding the roof of a vehicle with my middle finger instead of all my fingers, there isn’t much more to say.  I received cheers and applause throughout the parade from hundreds of people on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and I was honored to be a part of such a rich tradition.  I have received several calls that you are now receiving pictures at your home or place of business.

Since announcing my candidacy, I have been accused by local bloggers of working with a drug cartel, corruption, and now, publicly driving down the Crystal Lake Parade giving everyone “the finger.” The personal attacks by my opponent and his supporters on my family, my friends, my wife, my children, my in-laws, co-workers, and county board members is despicable and have no place in a legitimate race.

This type of disingenuous behavior is troubling in so many ways. It is mean spirited and takes away from the real issues facing McHenry County.  Please know I remain steadfast in my commitments to both the Sheriff’s Office and McHenry County as a whole.

During my 25 year career of chasing and apprehending criminals nothing has ever been so dangerous as my run for office.  I have not publicly commented or lowered myself to the depths in which my opponent and his supporters operate.  I will remain open, honest and ethical;  of that you can be assured.  I know many of you have been victimized by similar lies and accusations and I respect your professionalism and guidance throughout the political process.

I would like to thank you for your words of encouragement and support.

Andy Zinke

KNOWLEDGE CENTER

I have put together some of the articles that I have written that are prevalent for the upcoming election in MARCH!. This is the Republican Nominee election but probably more important than the general election. It is most likely the winner in March will win in November and become sheriff. If you review the articles in the Knowledge Center, you will read all kinds of unbelievable things as it relates to this election.

My mother and father, Ron and Kathy Scharff, 1969.

Freedom of Information Act Appeal to get the remainder of my father’s file. In my efforts to get to the bottom of my father’s murder and what the McHenry County Sheriff’s office has done to me and my family 33 years ago. I filed a FOIA Request (Freedom of Information Act Request) to get my father’s case file. Many documents were withheld from my request. It is my believe the documents are withheld to protect guilty individuals that are known to Sheriff Keith Nygren and Undersheriff Andrew Zinke that covered up who actually killed my father during the original investigation. Start on page 11 to read what sounds like a murder mystery thriller, but this is my true life. It is backed by FBI reports, witness statements, and newspaper articles.

Undersheriff Andrew Zinke and the Rita Corporation on RT 31Andrew Zinke for McHenry County Sheriff, Really??? This article is based on my own father’s murder investigation and Undersheriff Andrew Zinke. I talked about how he made his own milestones and failed to meet every single one. How it took me calling NBC News Chicago to get Andrew Zinke to return my phone call about my father’s murder investigation, as he was the lead investigator. I am fighting to get the remainder of my father’s case file. It is my believe that Undersheriff Andrew Zinke and the Sheriff Keith Nygren are hiding and protecting individuals that covered up the true killer of my father during the original investigation.

Undersheriff Andrew Zinke and the Rita Corporation on RT 31Andrew Zinke plus Rita Corporation equals ON THE TAKE Brian Goode and his RITA Corporation was a person of interest and focal point for the investigation of the distribution of 30 plus tons of marijuana. Undersheriff Andrew Zinke told Brian Goode of the investigation. Two days later, according to Koziol, (Sgt. Koziol was working on the investigation and filed a complaint against Zinke) Goode gave Zinke’s election campaign a $5,000 donation. The RITA Corporation address is the same address as Andrew Zinke’s campaign headquarters.

Deputy Zane SeiplerMcHenry County Deputy Zane Seipler under siege, Again!! Zane Seipler is a whistleblowing deputy that was fired by Keith Nygren after he exposed the sheriff’s office for racial profiling. Nygren was forced to hire Seipler back after he lost an arbitration ruling, a court hearing, an appellate court hearing, and a failed attempt to be heard by the Illinois State Supreme Court. After Seipler was hired back, Nygren fired him again. Zane Seipler is currently fighting to get his job back.

Deputy Scott Milliman in uniform.

Another McHenry County Deputy under siege, Scott Milliman Scott Milliman was a deputy and former right hand man to Sheriff Keith Nygren. He was fired by the sheriff for whistleblowing that the sheriff allegedly transacted in ticket fixing, bribery, general corruption, fraud in a SBA Loan, and in tapping Milliman himself to kill a McHenry County Judge and a Coroner’s Candidate. Scott Milliman is currently fighting to get his job back.

Gary Gauger, of Richmond, was wrongly convicted of murdering his parents in 1993 and sentenced to death. After years in prison his sentence was overturned and two gang members were later convicted of the murders. Gauger is released a book detailing the event called IN SPITE OF THE SYSTEM. (Ryan Rayburn photo)

How Gary Gauger got to DEATH ROW This is the real life, tragic story of Gary Gauger. He was falsely arrested and sent to Death Row by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department for the double murder of his parents. Investigators from the sheriff’s department rigged a false confession so that they could convict him.

McHenry County Ethics Commission, Ethical or NOT!?!? The McHenry County Ethics Commission conducted a hearing of a complaint filed by Cal Skinner that Undersheriff Andrew Zinke used a government computer for a very politically charged email. The hearing was ran over by Zinke’s attorneys Mark Gummerson and Rebecca Lee. The sign up sheet to speak at the hearing went missing but found in the possession of Rebecca Lee. The commission went into secret session, made its decision, and did so without explanation.

Pete Gonigam, publisher of the First Electric Newspaper.

First Electric Newspaper v.s. Sheriff Nygren and EEO Officer Donald Leist Pete Gonigam won a Public Access Bureau (Illinois States Attorney) appeal for the release of a 100 page report conducted by the McHenry County Sheriff’s office. The report exonerated Undersheriff Andrew Zinke after he told Brian Goode that he and his RITA Corporation was a the focal point of a drug investigation by the DEA.

Zinke’s middle finger may cost Cal Skinner $5,000 After filing a valid ethics complaint against Undersheriff Andrew Zinke for using a government computer for his campaign, Cal Skinner was to face Zinke’s attorney Mark Gummerson. Gummerson was lobbying for a $5,000 fine against Skinner filing a valid complaint. An act of bulling and intimidation of a McHenry County citizen.

Will McHenry County be Ripped Off by Special Interest in Sheriff Election? I question the interest and the contribution to Undersheriff Andrew Zinke’s campaign from the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 election. I send a letter to the President-Business Manager of the union James M. Sweeney.

Zinke-looking-right-eyes-at-cameraAndrew Zinke Fearful to Debate Bill Prim Lies to Get Out of It. Undersheriff Andrew Zinke is so fearful to debate Bill Prim for McHenry County Sheriff that he lies to get out of it. Zinke knows that he would be out matched, outwitted, and the truth of his corrupt character would be revealed to the citizens of McHenry County. Instead of enduring such damage to his campaign he lies to coward out of it.

Yep, Everyone is watching and you will look bad if you follow through with the petition to fine Cal Skinner $5,000, Mark Gummerson. I would have called for a boycott of the Gummerson law firm. Ghandi would have called it “Non Violent Protest” Remember the Montgomery Bus Boycott, in which African Americans refused to ride city buses in Montgomery Alabama to protest segregated seating? As a result, the United States Supreme Court ordered Montgomery to integrate the bus system. It’s a thought. From this point forward Mark Gummerson, you may want to think about dotting those I’s and crossing those T’s. And, you thought you could intimidate everyone, just so you could get your way. “NOT”

Personally, I think Cal Skinner should re-file his request before the Ethics Committee. Maybe, this time they will get it right. Just remember, members of the Ethics Committee, you may want to think about telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help us God, it will be used against you in a court of law.

Paul is absolutely right, there are political fixers looming within the Mchenry County Court system everyday. I have had the experience of a lawyer making me an offer to pay off a judge in a case, so I could win. Additionally, I have had the experience with an attempted fix in another case. The Court appointed evaluator, was found “GUILTY”, by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations, because he was caught. That story will soon be revealed, at a Mchenry County Theatre, near you.

Our taxpayers should be asking themselves what they could do to create positive change in Mchenry County Government. After all, this is not just Cal Skinners responsibility; it is everyone’s responsibility. We can begin by voting responsibly and accepting the candidates for who they really are, even if a candidate does not want to accept responsibility for who they are. Right, Andy Zinke? We all know Bill Prim is a man of integrity and he has my vote.
